Infoblox Introduces Automation-based Private Cloud Network Management Solution

Infoblox introduces Cloud Network Automation solution yielding automation of core network services involved in deploying and managing private clouds. The networking needs of the private clouds are addressed by Infoblox Cloud Network Automation. It mainly comprises of three parts: Infoblox Cloud Network Automation console for IT administrators to manage the functioning of the cloud deployments; Infoblox Cloud Platform Appliance for automated provisioning of network essentials such as IP address, DNS and DHCP services; Adapters that connect the solution to the VMware, OpenStack, and Microsoft cloud platforms. Infoblox Cloud Network Automation has benefits that include: Faster deployment of cloud-based applications by quick, point-and-click control based provisioning of virtual server with IP addresses and DNS records; automated scale-up and scale-out private cloud architecture; smart management of the cloud set up through centralized control; better auditing and compliance; greater security. “A best-of-breed private cloud is only as fast as its slowest component,” said Nolan Greene, research analyst for network infrastructure at IDC, a leading provider of global IT research and advice. “When building private clouds, IT architects should consider automating core network services, such as assigning IP addresses and DNS records, to make sure virtual machines can be easily commissioned and decommissioned in a matter of minutes."
