| | July 20198ecently In various forums, conferences, debates we are being overwhelmed with various thoughts on the future of healthcare in 2019 and being part of many conferences as speaker my take on this subject starts with placing healthcare ecosystem broadly into two buckets. The first bucket will be comprised of our healthcare pillars which are Clinicians, Consumers (Patients) and Empathy and other bucket which is playing alongside or augmenting first bucket is Artificial Intelligence, Clinical Outcomes, Machine Learnings, Predictive analysis and Blockchain.We have seen global change happening in healthcare delivery from Volume based healthcare to Value based care in 2018 and it will continue to change but on faster pace in 2019. There will be continuous transition from volume/ economic based model and it will be more on outcome based medicine. It will also open healthcare for data driven risk sharing frameworks RIN MY OPINIONWHAT IS THERE FOR HEALTHCARE IN 2019? This change will be more visible in developed nations but surely there will be some changes in developing nations also.Other area in which a lot of work has been already started and continuing is affordable and quality care in emerging markets. This will put thrust on technological advancements to reduce costs and increasing portability. Most of technological advancements will be moving around these two points and in addition R&D in drugs and devices will be epitome during this period to balance first two points. We can anticipate a check or balance of various technologies like AI, Blockchain, Machine learning their challenges and benefits. Also we will be seeing consolidation among these players in this year.As we enter in 2019, there will be push for augmented age of healthcare enabled with personalised tech, pharma and medical device companies and sooner all these companies will be able to deliver tailored treatments to individuals backed by real time service and support. Individual / personalised needs will be addressed with data analytics, agile creative and automated platforms working in tandem to deliver content and personalised experiences across the health journey. This year will continue to empower individuals. Government Spend and affordability will be driving many changes in healthcare delivery and will ultimately move away many
