| |July 20199health care services from Physical medicine to clinically relevant digital applications. It is estimated that Digital market will grow and cross $ 30 Billion market globally in 2019. Major factors influencing this change will be aging population across the world and increasing healthcare expenditures majorly in Asian and African countries. Telemedicine, mhealth applications, Prescription management etc will be playing major roles in 2019. Also the way audience are being approached will be changed and smart appliances, connected heath care devices, AR and VR displays will be few new approaches will be used for reaching out.Throughout 2019 AI, Machine learning and Predictive analysis will be in forefront and evolving human and machine interaction. The areas which will see earlier fruits will be Imaging, Predictive analysis on risk assessments , drug R&D and contraindications. There will be push and pull from both providers and end users regarding cost and whether to spend that cost, which can be hindering factor for the growth of AI otherwise it is expected to cross 1.5 Billion in 2019. Cost factor can be overcome by the technological partner by providing evidence based medicine and also by showing potential ROI for both parties or may be co-developing in this space can bridge this gap.In 2019 high number of specialty specific analytics solutions will gain prominence like drug utilisation, Predictive Model based Billing structures, Treatment variability, optimizing treatment protocols, and self-care programs for chronic conditions. Usually medical innovations flow from west to east and this is changing rapidly with emerging markets contributions and growth to the pharma sector and also the change in affordability pattern making this change for the giants and Asia will be in forefront of innovation be it be drugs or devices. Industry will see collaborative and innovative pricing strategies to suit ASIA / emerging markets. Genomics is another area where we will see a lot for work specially in emerging markets and Asia. All these innovations will be revolving around aging population and rising demand and income levels which is concern all over the world.Voice is going to be an important node, as digital agents will become more clinically validated. This will help in Doctor Prescriptions and notes and also other automated self-help, coaching and condition management through devices and screens. Various players have specialised in healthcare for voice applications but there is still a gap and in 2019 it will narrow the gap and we will see more utilisation of voice applications. We anticipate in 2019 chatbot applications and HIPAA complaint voice applications will grow manifolds. In 2019 there will be actual commercial deployment of Blockchain in healthcare as mostly are in pilot stage or limited availability as of 2018 and will change this year and we can see real value of Blockchain for healthcare.More and more Insurance providers are moving from conventional Medical insurance plans to digital driven data based personalised plans so that the premiums and potential claims can be reduced. It will be more interactive with providers, insurance and the clients to leverage individual data and then using it for personalising premiums and discount / rewards. Also we will see more players consolidation in medical insurance space. In my opinion 2019 will be the year that payers and health care providers finally realise that it is far better to fully utilise telemedicine platforms rather than keeping as additional service with hospitals. Healthcare providers will see optimisation of costs and similarly insurance will see value in approving Telemedicine as mode of treatment and it is estimated that Telemedicine revenues will be more than double in 2019 and it will cover chronic disease management also in addition to imaging and diagnostics. In Dialysis space in my opinion major shift will happen from Brick and Mortar structure to do dialysis and it will move towards home care and delivery and self-serve dialysis.DNA sequencing is a very large market and growing opportunity and many new technologies like single cell genomics, have driven growth so far and there will be new additions this year, which in turn will open market for more applications and will eventually reduce cost also.In nutshell 2019 will be exciting year for healthcare where healthcare providers, Doctors and Patients will be embracing various technological and digital advancements which will augment clinical outcomes and with precision medicine.
